F45’s Answers to Franchise FAQs

So, you’re thinking about buying into a franchise business, but wondering which one to choose? Before you sign up, here are some questions you should be asking and reasons why F45 Training might be the perfect fit for you.

Are you happy to work within an existing system?

Any franchisee needs a healthy dose of independent, entrepreneurial spirit. If you’re headstrong and lack self-motivation, you might find it difficult to stay the course. One of the big benefits of buying into a franchise, though, is the fact that you’re plugging into a proven model and will be able to work from an existing plan.

The F45 franchise system has been built, tested, and refined over six years, and we’re the world’s fastest-growing fitness network for a reason. With over 1,700 studios worldwide, we have a huge amount of experience on which to draw. Any new franchisee will need to make sure that he or she showcases our brand and customer experience to its fullest extent.

However, one of F45’s main strengths is the fact that we’re not fixed in our ways of doing things. Instead, we’re always looking for opportunities to be better and we welcome fresh, out-of-the-box perspectives.

Do you play nicely with others?

No franchisee is an island. You will not only be required to constantly interact with your staff and customers, but the most successful franchisees understand how to work as part of a team and get the most out of those around them, including their franchisor.

At F45 Training, our focus on team training and community extends beyond our studio floors and into every aspect of our business. Constant communication is vital, as well as understanding our individual strengths and weaknesses and how to work together for everyone’s success.

Becoming an F45 franchisee is just the start of a long-term, mutually beneficial relationship where we’ll work together and talk often. We constantly send our franchisees new content, programming, and marketing material, and we expect feedback on what is (and isn’t) working in return.

You’ll also become part of a global family of franchisees, all of whom you’ll be able to connect and collaborate with, draw inspiration from, and brainstorm with to identify solutions to common problems.

Are you looking for a new or established franchise?

What’s more important to you, stability and structure or flexibility and freedom? A more established franchise model will offer more security, while an emerging business might give you the chance to do things your own way.

It may be cliché that we say F45 offers the best of both worlds, but we really do. With a global footprint and scalable model, you’ll find all of the structure of an established franchise business with the dynamic, challenger mindset of a much younger brand.

While we have loads of experience and know what works, we’re always looking for new, better ways to do things. The world of health and fitness is one of innovation and invention, and we need to stay at the forefront.

Are you ready to wear lots of different hats?

Being a business owner means understanding every aspect of your company and having the ability to embrace many different roles. This is even more true when it comes to being a franchise owner. It’s a role that requires more than just the ability to delegate—it means you’ll need to be able to draw on a diverse skill and ability set.

F45 franchisees are expected to be as comfortable on the training floor as they are launching a new marketing campaign. It means that no two days will ever be the same, and that you’ll constantly be challenged and pushed out of your comfort zone. It also means that you’ll continue to grow and that you’ll never be bored or understimulated. Who wants to do the same thing all the time anyways?

Do you believe in the franchise vision and values?

One of the first things you should be sure of is the alignment of your goals, values, and beliefs with those of the franchise you’re considering. If you don’t believe in what the brand is trying to achieve and how they go about doing it, you’ll struggle to motivate yourself and those around you.

While a paycheck at the end of the month is always good, giving employees the sense that they’re part of something bigger is the best way to drive passion and commitment. When people share a collective goal, they’re more engaged and much more likely to perform at a high level than when working alone.

It’s not just employees who are looking for something more. Modern consumers are drawn to companies and products that reflect what they hold important and dear. If you internalize your brand’s approach and values, you’ll be able to work as efficiently and effectively as possible.

At F45, we exist to change people’s lives for the better. No matter who we are or what our levels of fitness may be, we can all be and do better by pushing ourselves and enjoying the process. If you’re looking to join our family, you’ll need to believe in what we do and your power to help others.

Don’t stop asking questions.

These are just a few of the questions you should ask yourself before you decide on your chosen franchise. At F45 Training, we expect you to carry on asking questions throughout your franchise journey. None of us should ever take anything for granted. Our business lives and dies by the people that comprise it, and our franchisees need to challenge us as much as we challenge them.
