Fitness Will Never Go Out of Style

If we’ve learned anything over the past few decades, it’s that things will always go in and out of style. Remember those M.C. Hammer pants that were widely popular in the 80’s? Yep—they made a comeback not too long ago. Mom jeans? They’re back with a vengeance.

Trends and fads are not just limited to style and fashion, though. We have seen different types of businesses become popular, only to fall to their demise after a few years of being on top. It’s become increasingly apparent that some businesses—and their business models—aren’t built for long-lasting success, but rather to ride the wave of popularity for as long as society will let them.

For the fitness industry, however, one thing has remained constant: the need for exercise and a place to do it. This has never, and will never, go out of style. Here’s two reasons why.

– For some people, exercise is a form of therapy.

Whether they are focusing on taking care of their mental, emotional, or physical health, exercise is a way of doing that. Some people use it as a way to ‘check out’ for 45-60 minutes of their day and simply focus on moving their body. It is also seen as a form of self-care, which is something that most people have worked into their days and routines. As long as people keep putting themselves in these situations, fitness will be ‘in.’

– Exercise is still one of the best ways to get healthy and stay healthy!

Fad diets may come and go, but moving your body and getting the proper amount of exercise will remain steadfast and allow you to be the healthiest version of yourself possible. The fitness industry may never fully die because there will always be a need for people to need to move their bodies, clinically speaking. Mayo Clinic states that people should spread out their exercise throughout the course of a week, averaging at least 30 minutes a day. This ranges anywhere from a brisk walk with your dogs to a sweat-inducing, heart-pumping strength training or HIIT session. As far as we see it, as long as there’s a need for people to get into and remain in great shape and healthy, exercise will always be seen as a necessity.

So, yes, as long as humans roam this earth, there will be trends that come and go. But, as long as those humans care about their health and well-being, fitness will always be a constant. We proudly serve people who look to come into our studios and dedicate 45-60 minutes of their day to getting strong, healthy, and just being the best version of themselves possible. We truly believe our industry will not die, and we are waiting with arms wide open to welcome you into the F45 family so that you can capitalize on this movement. What are you waiting for?
