As a manager or HR professional, your job is to ensure that your employees are fulfilling their duties required of them in their job description. When you took your current job, part of that job is guaranteeing that all your employees are happy, healthy and safe in your work environment. Workplace wellness may just be a fraction of your job duties, but it should be one that you care about now more than ever. Here’s what you need to know about workplace wellness and how to return to the office in 2020 with health in mind.
What is corporate wellness?
Workplace/corporate health and wellness is incredibly important when it comes to the success of your company—it keeps the cogs in the machine moving. Workplace health and wellness can be defined as the practice of an employer taking responsibility for the health, well-being and longevity of its employees, both in and out of the office. It can come in many forms, including comprehensive programs that will empower and reward employees for maintaining healthy habits. Some of these habits include:
- - A healthy, balanced diet
- - A workout routine
- - Meditation or mindfulness practice
- - Work-life balance
It is incredibly beneficial to both the employees and the company to have a well-established workplace wellness program in place. Employees will reap the benefits of the various offers available to them within the program, which will allow them to have a healthy mind, body and soul.
For employers, the trade-off is as simple as this: healthier employees are less likely to miss work due to illness, and in turn, may save your company healthcare costs. Think about it like this—investing in your employees may seem like a big task right now, but once you invest your time and energy into their well-being, there is potential for a huge return on your investment in no time. Healthier, happier employees are worth the time it takes to set up a wellness program.
As a manager, you can be the advocate for your employees to receive the health and wellness program that they deserve.
How will workplace wellness work in 2020, given our current situation with COVID-19?
2020 has been a challenging year for everyone, especially those who have been adjusting to working from home and balancing work with their everyday lives. Now, some of those people are learning how to readjust back into their routine at the office, while still in the middle of a pandemic. Every day brings a new set of challenges, whether that is learning how to carve out time for exercise or how to simply unwind after a stressful day at the office. No matter the circumstances of your employees, at home or in the office, they are in need of some self-care.
For those who are returning to the office, it can be even more difficult to find a wellness program that everyone will love. It is important to make everyone feel as though they are valued and safe, despite being in the middle of a global pandemic.
That’s where F45 Training comes in. We can help you set up a workplace wellness program that can transform your employee wellness initiatives and make your employees feel good!

We have the ability to offer you and your employees a few different ways to keep workplace wellness top-of-mind during your return to the office through nutrition, mindfulness, exercise and camaraderie. Do you want to learn more about our workplace wellness programs?
In order to establish a wellness program, you will need to go through the following steps:
- If you are not already familiar with F45 Training, take some time to familiarize yourself with our unique workouts that have created a global phenomenon.
You can take a look at our 45-minute HIIT and circuit-style training and how it has positively impacted lives throughout the world. Don’t worry if you are not too familiar with our training programs—we have a team designated to help introduce you to the brand, the workout and all we can offer you!
- Speaking of our dedicated wellness team, if you would like to further your inquiry into our wellness programs, schedule some time to speak with our Corporate Business Development Director, Heather Brenes.
During your initial wellness chat with Heather, she will go over a few options that are available to you as far as wellness programs go. We will work with you to figure out which one of our available options will be best suited for you, your employees and your wellness program goals.
One option is an onsite F45 Training studio that is dedicated solely to your staff. We will work with you, your HR team and the C-level team members to find a space that is suitable to build out a studio. We will help you set up a state-of-the-art studio space, where your employees will be able to enjoy daily programmed workouts with our elite F45 trainers. Our studios are clean, modern and thrive off of limited equipment, meaning your space can almost fit anywhere!
Each of your employees will have full access to all of the resources our members have available to them, such as our fitness challenges and nutrition advice. We also have the ability to set up a schedule that is convenient for your employees, such as running classes during the lunch hour and before and after work. This makes it easier for your employees to stick to their routine and will give them more options when it comes to working out!
During our team-centric group workouts, your employees will not only leave feeling stronger and healthier, but they may feel closer to their fellow coworkers. Group training sessions promote accountability, camaraderie and an overall positive environment that will leave your workforce feeling energized and ready to take on whatever challenges come their way.
It is important to note that our studios are complying by all social distancing and disinfecting protocols determined by the CDC and the government. We will work with your employees to ensure that they maintain a safe physical distance and that the studio is disinfected after each class to slow the spread of COVID-19.
- If your employees are either unable to attend studio classes or are not coming back into the office full-time, we have another solution that will still allow them to fully participate in your wellness program. Our F45 Live and on-demand classes allow your employees to reap the benefits of our training programs, but in the comfort of their own home! Your employees have the ability to either stream daily on-demand workouts on their own time or join in with F45 Live, which are daily workouts hosted by trainers on Zoom. Each workout will still challenge them, energize them and give them 45 minutes of their day to simply focus on their health and wellbeing.
Outside of the workout, your employees will have access to mindfulness practices, recipes, nutrition advice and recovery tips. Not only will they have a platform that is built specifically for their workouts, but it will also cater to ensuring their heart and mind are healthy as well.
As we mentioned, we have a team that is dedicated to helping you find the corporate wellness solution that fits your company's needs. We are willing to work with you to guarantee that you are putting your employees' health, safety and needs first. Let’s chat wellness. Your employees will thank you.
