Pre-Thanksgiving Sweat with F45

Thanksgiving: a day full of celebration, time spent with loved ones, and copious amounts of delicious food. Oftentimes, it is unheard of working out on thanksgiving. Traditionally, people get together around a dinner table to share a meal and reflect on what they are thankful for. While we may not all be celebrating in person this year, we can still celebrate everything that we have in our lives and remember to give thanks for our health and happiness.

Here at F45 Training, we are especially thankful this Thanksgiving for the ability to move our bodies and indulge in delicious food with our friends and family. We firmly believe that while you don’t have to ‘earn’ your food, a pre-feast sweat is great to get the heart pumping and adrenaline flowing.

We encourage you to get out and try to attend an F45 class to get your adrenaline going before you enjoy the festivities. You will thank yourself when you feel highly energized and ready to take on this holiday!

Interested in working out before your Thanksgiving meal, but are stuck at home with the family? No worries! Try this quick workout that will torch calories and give you the sweat you’re looking for and making working out on thanksgiving a lot easier:

Step 1: Set a timer for 20 minutes with a goal to finish all of these sets in that allotted time frame. Finish early? No problem—keep it going! Try to get as many reps in as possible!

Step 2: Find a space that allows you to work out. You’ll want enough space to be able to move around freely, without running into anything. We think it’s especially wonderful to be able to get fresh air while working out, if the weather in your area allows for it.

Step 3: Complete workout below:

  • 30 jumping jacks
  • 20 jump squats
  • 30 lunges (15 on each side)
  • 10 shoot-throughs
  • 15 inchworms
  • 20 frog jumps
  • 15 mountain climbers
  • 10 burpeesAs stated above, we want to emphasize that you do not have to work out before your Thanksgiving meal—you can enjoy yourself without sweating first. However, we feel that it is the perfect day to take advantage of your ability to move your body and celebrate the fact that you have the incredible honor to move this Thanksgiving day!If you are interested in incorporating exercise into your day outside of this 20-minute routine, we suggest going outside, getting some fresh air, and taking a walk with your family. Whether you walk for 15 minutes or an hour, the fresh air and exercise will do you (and your family or friends) some good!
