Circuit training is a fun, diverse, and extremely effective way to achieve and maintain various fitness goals. Essentially, circuit training is the completion of several fast-paced movements over a brief period, repeated a few times with short breaks in between sets. Imagine this: you go from push-ups to lunges to bicep curls to squats in a short period of time. That’s exactly how it works. Simple as that.
Circuit training is a popular innovation within the health industry, and F45 Training has made a thriving business of it. We have combined circuit training with two other equally dynamic methods of exercise, functional training and high-intensity interval training (HIIT), and incorporated them into our workout programs. This is what makes up our various daily pre-programmed training sessions, all of which last 45 minutes.
To add to this already impressive level of variety, we have made sure that our sessions are constantly changing. Since F45 classes are almost never repeated, members are always challenged and kept on their toes. Each training session will affect their bodies in different ways and prevent them from reaching a plateau in their fitness regimes.
So, why is circuit training so valuable to our services and, in turn, to our F45 members? Here are a few benefits of circuit training.
1. Two for One: Strength and Cardio
While many exercises have one specific function, circuit training helps gym-goers achieve numerous goals in the same amount of time. When done properly, not only do you get a big, healthy dose of resistance training from it, but it’s also a great form of cardiovascular exercise. So, while you’re building muscle, you’ll also be burning calories and working to get that lean, toned physique you’ve always wanted.
2. Disease and Injury Prevention
The combined focus on both strength and cardio also has a positive effect on a person’s physical health. Its cardiovascular component helps:
Circuit training sessions also focus on multiple parts of the body, which means you won’t be overusing and overexerting one particular body part. This is beneficial in terms of injuries and recovery. If your arm or leg has been injured previously or if there’s a danger of putting too much strain on it due to constant exercise, circuit training is a great way to focus on other parts of the body and not place an unnecessary amount of emphasis on just one.
Circuit training is also great for all ages and all fitness levels. Participants can push as hard as needed for maximal results, while young and old can still participate at their respective levels.
3. A Cure for Boredom
Exercise has a tendency to be repetitive, and can become boring over time. Think of the treadmill, the elliptical, weight machines, or even the swimming pool. Circuit training constitutes a substantial bevy of exercises, many of which have their own variations. That means you are constantly doing something different, surprising yourself and your body with new exercises. This keeps exercising fun and engaging, and leaves gym-goers excited to continue working out.
4. Equipment is Not Compulsory
Circuit training does call for the use of some gym equipment, but not always. You won’t find yourself constantly lugging dumbbells or kettlebells around the gym with circuit training. Many circuit training exercises involve the use of your own bodyweight, such as lunges, squats, hip extensions, push-ups, dips, squat jumps, burpees, planks, and crunches. Once you’ve arrived at the gym, you can probably head to the training area and get going with minimal to no equipment necessary.
6. More Results in Less Time
Thanks to the diversity, simplicity, and intensity of its exercises, circuit training allows you to potentially reach your fitness goals a lot faster than other types of fitness training do. There’s no waiting around to use a specific machine or piece of equipment, no threat of reaching a plateau where your body isn’t being challenged sufficiently, and no overemphasis on just one area of the body or one type of fitness goal. It’s different kinds of cardio and strength exercise all packed into a single session. For example, with F45 classes, members are in and out in 45 minutes. They are potentially torching just as many calories in 45 minutes as some people do in long workouts. We focus on sustainable training and results, not spending hours in the gym every day.
7. A Great Way to Socialize
One of life’s joys is making friends at the gym. There’s something exciting about meeting people that are like-minded and have the same interests as you. Circuit training is a great way to meet new people and connect with others. By joining a class, you have the chance to meet and connect with new people who you already have something in common with! F45 Training members often connect with each other and turn training buddies into their real-life friends, outside of the gym.
Circuit training is an awesome way to get fit quickly, maintain physical and mental health, make new friends, and have fun at the gym. F45 Training has made the most of it, and proven that it is more than a trend—it is a way of life.
This could be a life changing opportunity.
