Corporate social responsibility is best defined as actions within an organization that ‘aim to contribute to societal goals of a philanthropic, activist, or charitable nature by engaging in or supporting volunteering or ethically-oriented practices.’
At F45 Training, our core principles are founded on the belief that we can (and should) aim to change the lives of the people we serve. Throughout this past year, the world has been challenged in more ways than one, and we found ourselves wondering if we could give back to others during their time of need.
It is in this thought that we leaned into our corporate social responsibility platform, also known as CSR. We knew that in order to give back to our communities around the world, we had to tap into the spirit of F45. Thus, the idea was born to raise awareness surrounding the issues the world is facing, while simultaneously raising money for foundations through our classes.
We thought: what better place to start than where our company was founded?
What Franchise spoke to our ability to raise over $550,000 to help mitigate the effects of the devastating Australian bushfires. Our studios around the globe proudly participated, and even HQ employees got involved through generous donations. We felt good about the progress we made, but knew that we were nowhere near done with our CSR work.
“The F45 community rose to the occasion and raised over $550,000 for the national crisis. This year, each Heroes Hollywood workout will be dedicated to a specific cause. The first one of 2021 raised funds for mental health charities.”
“A lot of the U.K. studios supported FareShare, which helps children in poverty, and were able to raise over £2,300, a figure that’s continuing to increase,” Buz said. The next Heroes Hollywood workout is scheduled for April 17 and will be live-streamed via Zoom from a number of F45 studios.”
As we set out to continue on with our corporate social responsibility efforts, we know that this is a part of a larger picture. Together, with our franchisees and members, we can truly make a difference in this world. We know that our workouts can bring smiles to our members’ faces, and we’ve seen firsthand how we can help change their lives. Our goals are expanding towards bringing happiness and joy to the lives of the people who need it the most.
